Meet Dr. Wilson

I am Dr. Tashya Wilson, a licensed clinical psychologist and parent of two school-aged children. I earned my Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Howard University and my Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. I am licensed to practice independently in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. My psychology residency and Post-doctoral fellowship were completed at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, where I served as Chief Resident.

Before moving into private practice, I practiced full-time at Children’s National Hospital (formerly Children’s National Medical Center) as a part of the “Whole Bear Care” team within the child and adolescent primary care clinics. As an integrated care pediatric psychologist, my focus is facilitating care of the whole child emotionally, mentally, and physically. I am a strong advocate of integrated and collaborative care. I believe that to create meaningful, long-term change, it is necessary to work collaboratively with parents and other professionals in a child’s life. This may include working with teachers, guidance counselors, pediatricians, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, or other primary caregivers who may be involved in your child’s life.

One of my greatest joys is helping children, adolescents, and families thrive. I also enjoy working with college-aged and early adults as they transition to a new phase of life.

I look forward to working with you and your family!
